Last weekend was a good one for watching rugby but unfortunately not for watching Italy.
We did not ever really get into the match and we struggled in our strongest point which is the forwards where France dominated us.
Something was missing at scrum-half and fly-half although we were unlucky with the injury to Andrea Scanavacca. Italy can play much better than this.
We need to bring back the set plays where we have been good in the past. We must try and develop a game and concentrate on keeping possession and using it properly.
In defence we must remember to kick the ball more and try and be a little more clever.
I think they will start to play better now. We must keep it as simple as possible and we did not play against France at all.
I hope we will have a different attitude on Saturday because against England we will need to.
They are coming back. They have a new coach, a new captain and a new enthusiasm and it will be very difficult for Italy.
But if we can play at 120% we can get in the game and play as a team - the backs and forwards must stay together on the same wavelength.
Italy have to do what they are best at. Everyone knows we can play well and we need to bring back the confidence and work on the mental level, certainly in the crucial areas of the field.
