All three players, who missed the 19-9 defeat to Ireland in Cardiff on Sunday, are hoping to be in contention for a place this weekend.

Centre Shanklin and wing Jones, who have been recovering from thigh and ankle problems respectively, were due to take part in a full contact training session this afternoon.

But the news was not so good surrounding wing Williams. He has been recovering well from his hip injury but has now been set back by a stomach bug.

The stomach bug has laid him low and set him back 24 hours, confirmed Wales' physiotherapist Mark Davies.

With Wales due to announce their line up for Murrayfield on Wednesday lunch time it looks unlikely that Williams will make the plane.

There was better news for Hal Luscombe, who limped off with a knee injury on Sunday.

A scan on that knee has shown no serious damage and he was due to take a full part with Shanklin and Jones on Tuesday afternoon.
