Italy handed double fitness boost

Andrea Scanavacca and Gonzalo Canale have been passed fit for Italy's RBS 6 Nations clash against England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Fly-half Scanavacca and centre Canale picked up knocks during the Azzurris tournament-opening 39-3 defeat to France in Rome, but tests have shown the injuries are not serious.

Italy coach Pierre Berbizier will, however, still be without flanker Alessandro Zanni, who missed the encounter with Les Bleus.

Zanni is expected to return to action against Scotland on February 24.
