The Borders scrum-half will start at Twickenham after making his first outing for two months in a league clash last Friday.

Cusiter suffered a shoulder injury during Scotlands win over Pacific Islanders in November and his return ahead of schedule gave Hadden a boost with Mike Blair ruled out with a shoulder injury himself.

Lock James Hamilton has been handed his first start, while Hugo Southwell is the third change to the team that lost 44-15 to Australia in the final autumn Test.

There is no place in the squad for Simon Webster following his recovery from injury but Rob Dewey and Allister Hogg have been named among the substitutes.

Hamilton, who made his debut from the bench against Romania in November, replaces Scott Murray who is named among the replacements.

Southwell starts at full-back with Chris Paterson - captain for the championship in place of the injured Jason White - moving to the wing in place of Webster.

Webster misses out after making his comeback for Edinburgh on Friday following the leg injury he suffered against the Wallabies.

Flanker Hogg, 23, also made his first start for Edinburgh on Friday since suffering medial knee ligament damage on November 3.

Centre Dewey is two matches into his comeback following a knee cartilage injury, but his two tries against Connacht were an indication of a return to form as well as fitness.

Hadden welcomed the return of Lions scrum-half Cusiter, who has Gloucesters Rory Lawson on the bench as back-up.

Hadden said: I was very impressed with his performance for the Border Reivers against the Dragons in the Magners League on Friday night.

I met him subsequently and was convinced there were no ill effects and that he was raring to go for what will be a massive challenge for us on Saturday.

Hamilton is one of four players making their Six Nations debuts, alongside prop Euan Murray and back-row forwards David Callam and Kelly Brown.

Hadden added: Dave Callam had a quite exceptional series of games in the autumn.

We do not get carried away by statistics but his tackle count and percentage of rucks cleared was as good as anything I have come across.

Also in the pack Alastair Kellock has been at the heart of Glasgows progress this season.

As their captain he has grown in stature and we think he forms a formidable second-row combination alongside James Hamilton.
