Wales international second-row Brent Cockbain is eyeing a return to the national side after making a full recovery from a hamstring injury that excluded him from much of last season.
Coach Gareth Jenkins is preparing to name his Wales squad for the RBS 6 Nations and the 32-year-old is keen to resume his international career after undergoing surgery to re-attach the muscle.
The Aussie-born lock forward has not appeared on the international stage since being stretchered off against Fiji 14 months ago.
He was in Wales' squad for last autumn's international series, but missed all four Tests after being suspended for stamping.
Cockbain said to The Western Mail: 'I'm enjoying my rugby, but it took me a little while to get back into it. My leg felt fine when I came back, but it was low on power.
'I don't think about it now. I'm flying into and hitting rucks.'
