Ospreys trio close to action

Wales trio Sonny Parker, Jonathan Thomas and Shane Williams are on course to overcome injuries in time for their country's RBS 6 Nations campaign.

Centre Parker, who has a strained medial ligament, and flanker Thomas, who has a shoulder problem, are both out of Ospreys European Cup game against Stade Francais at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

The pair will be out of competitive action for at least another week with Ospreys coach Lyn Jones targeting his sides last European Cup pool match against Sale Sharks on January 20 for their return.

Wing Williams will undergo a late fitness test on his ankle injury ahead of Sundays match but is the closest to action of the three club team-mates.

Wales first match of the 2007 Six Nations is against Ireland at the Millennium Stadium on February 4.
