Scotland head coach Frank Hadden has received some positive news ahead of the RBS 6 Nations Championship with three international players recovering well from injury.
Edinburgh trio Rob Dewey, Allister Hogg and Craig Smith are all on the comeback trail after suffering serious injuries.
Dewey underwent knee surgery following his tryscoring debut in Scotlands opening autumn international against Romania in November.
He is now participating in all non-contact and speed training after progressing from the rehab running group. Hogg is working on interval training as part of the rehab running group after having a knee brace removed.
He ruptured the medial ligament in his right knee in the Celtic League game against Cardiff Blues in November.
There is also good news for Smith, who has resumed running this week and will shortly begin activities in the gym following neck surgery last month.
