Berbizier names squad
28 October 2006, 3:39 pm
Italy head coach Pierre Berbizier has named his 30-man squad for the forthcoming autumn internationals.
The only real surprise is the addition of uncapped fly-half Warren Spragg, who plays for Calvisano in Italys domestic league.

The Azzurri face Tests against Australia on November 11, Argentina on November 18 and Canada on November 25. All three games will be played in Rome.

We will be playing three strong and capable teams, especially Australia and Argentina, Berbizier said.

This will help us ahead of the next few major tournaments we are involved in, such as the RBS 6 Nations Championship.

Italy squad:

Forwards: Robert Barbieri (Overmach Parma), Carlos Nieto, Marco Bortolami (Gloucester), Martin Castrogiovanni (Leicester), Carlo Antonio Del Fava (Bourgoin), Santiago Dellape (Biarritz), Carlo Festuccia (SKG Gran Parma), Mauro Bergamasco, Sergio Parisse (Stade Francais), Salvatore Perugini (Toulouse), Josh Sole (Arix Viadana), Valerio Bernabo, Maurizio Zaffiri, Alessandro Zanni (Calvisano), Andrea Lo Cicero-Vaina (L'Aquila), Fabio Ongaro (Saracens).

Backs: David Bortolussi (Montpellier), Gonzalo Canale (Clermont Auvergne), Pablo Canavosio (Castres), Ezio Galon (Overmach Parma), Warren Spragg, Andrea Scannavacca, Paul Griffen (Cammi Calvisano), Ramiro Pez (Bayonne), Simon Picone (Benetton Treviso), Kaine Robertson (Arix Viadana), Walter Pozzebon, Marko Stanojevic (Bristol), Mirco Bergamasco (Stade Francais), Andrea Masi (Biarritz)
