Bell contemplates playing return

Former Ireland centre Jonny Bell is considering a return to the playing field with Ulster, after officially retiring at the end of last season.

Bell is due to start his much-delayed studies at the University of Ulster but is believed to be considering a special training contract.

Bell, now 32, who has played 90 times for Ulster in a 12-year period, will also assist Dungannon's Jeremy Davidson with coaching duties at Stevenson Park.

He was last on duty in professional rugby last May when he was an unused replacement in Ulster's final game of the season against the Ospreys.
