Italy general manager Marco Bollesan has predicted his side will cause a major shock in next year's RBS 6 Nations Championship.
Italy enhanced their reputation once more in the 2005 event, even claiming their first point on away soil with an 18-18 draw against Italy in Cardiff.
Aside from that result, Pierre Berbizier's men also came away from their games with Scotland, France, Ireland and England with their pride very much intact.
''Certainly the last Six Nations tournament was positive for us,'' Bollesan said.
''But now is the time to get a more positive signal from the media and fans.
We are working very hard to get the best players ready for the next tournament.
''We really believe next February/March we are going to make history.
I am not saying we will win the trophy but we are going to get a big scalp.
I do believe it is the right time to get a famous victory and we are really working non-stop to achieve that.''
