Worcester Warriors' new signing Miguel Avramovic went over for a try after a great pass from Agustin Pichot.

And centre Avramovic put the game out of reach of the Uruguayans in the 64th minute with another try.

Man-of-the-match Todeschini, who converted both tries to end the match with 16 points, said: We are very happy to qualify for the next World Cup and we have to start to work now for the tournament next year.

The game was very hard and the rain made it more difficult, but we played well.

Argentina will play in Pool D alongside hosts France, Ireland, a third European team and the top African qualifier.

Ireland and Argentina have met in the last two World Cups - Ireland won 16-15 in 2003 but were famously knocked out by the Pumas in 1999 when they went down 28-24.
