Scotland's most-capped player Gregor Townsend is set to draw a line under a glittering career at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old Borders fly-half has suffered greatly with injuries recently and finally decided to call time on his playing days after 82 caps for Scotland, plus stints with Gala, Northampton Saints, Brive, Castres and Natal Sharks.
''My aim is to play one final season and play as many games as I can,'' he told the Daily Record.
''I can't see past this year unless there's some miracle of science that keeps my body going for a year beyond that.''
Townsend also featured on two British & Irish Lions tours as well as holding the distinction of scoring a try in every game as Scotland claimed the last-ever Five Nations championship.
