Ospreys lock Ian Evans has received a six-week suspension after being cited for an incident in the second Test between Argentina and Wales in Buenos Aires on Saturday, 17 June.
The suspension will run from the date of the Ospreys' first official friendly match in August.
The citing was brought against Evans for 'reckless and dangerous play' following the player's late charge on the Argentina skipper Agustin Pichot.
''We were treated fairly in the hearing and we accept the punishment handed out to Ian. We have all learned lessons on this tour and this is one that Ian will have to take on board,'' said Wales team manager Alan Phillips.
''He will need to look at this aspect of his game when he returns.''
Evans added: ''I regret the incident. I let the team down and discipline is something I will have to concentrate on in the future.''
