Captain Jason White has been named Famous Grouse Scotland Player of the Season for 2005/06.
The Sale Sharks flanker has now completed a double after collecting the Players' Player of the Season from his fellow professionals on Thursday night.
The 28-year-old has been outstanding form for Scotland this year in his first full season as skipper.
White pipped Allister Hogg to the award, which is voted for by Scottish journalists after each international, with winger Sean Lamont in third place.
The Sale player is the first serving Scotland skipper to collect the prize and follows in the footsteps of Chris Paterson, Simon Taylor, Scott Murray, Tom Smith, Glenn Metcalfe, Doddie Weir and Alan Tait.
White said: Im massively pleased to win this award, particularly when I look at some of the great players who have won in the past.
We all believe theres more to come from the Scotland team and this season should be a start that we have to build on beginning with our game against the Barbarians at the end of May and then the tour of South Africa.
