I have never really seen an France versus England game like that before. I'm not sure if the result was down to England playing badly or France being outstanding.
The last time something like this happened between the two sides was back in 1972. It really was a surprise result.
Despite the result, I still don't think it means France are on top of the world. If they want to become like England - i.e. world champions - then they need to play like England did in the two years leading up to the last World Cup and win every game.
There is no doubt that England's performance was very disappointing. They played with no conviction, no motivation, and no reaction.
The big challenge now is for the France team to repeat this performance in their next game against Wales on Saturday.
France have got more and more confident since they lost to Scotland in the opening game of the RBS 6 Nations. It's certainly looking better for the future now than it did three games ago.
They really should go on to win this year's RBS 6 Nations, especially as they are so much better off in terms of goal difference compared to Ireland.
Although they played well against England they should not take the Welsh lightly because they are always tough in front of their own crowd.
But I repeat, if France want to emulate England's achievements, they need to repeat this sort of performance on a regular basis.
