Coach Frank Hadden has named the experienced duo in his team ahead of Alistair Kellock and Scott MacLeod, who performed heroically for Scotland during their famous victory over England 12 days ago.

Murray had missed that match because he was serving a three-week ban after being red-carded during Scotland's defeat to Wales on February 12.

Hines was on the bench for the England game, having only just reversed his decision at
the end of last season to retire from international rugby.

White, who will captain Scotland for the seventh time in Dublin, said: ''It was a big call for Frank to drop the two guys who played very well against England.

''But Nathan and Scott are great rugby players and I'm sure you will see them put in a great performance on Saturday.''

White hopes the experience these two forwards bring to the team will help the Scottish forwards unleash their backs for the first time so far in this season's RBS 6 Nations.

The Scots have already confounded expectations with two thrilling victories over pre-tournament favourites France and World Cup holders England, which were built on the back of some heroic defending, exceptional kicking and tireless rucking.

However, the Scotland captain believes his team are capable of so much more and thinks it is now time to open things up and let the creative genius of players such as Sean Lamont, Chris Paterson and Marcus di Rollo run free.

He added: ''We've got some great attackers in the team and on Saturday it would be great to see the backs making breaks and the centres and the wingers scoring tries.

''It has been said on a number of occasions that this team is capable of so much more; hopefully on Saturday we will get the chance to show that.

''We have got a rough idea of how Ireland are going to play.

''They are going to try to use their backs because guys like Brian O'Driscoll and Gordon D'Arcy are key players for them, so it could be interesting.

''We'll just have to be ready for whatever they throw at us.''
