England duo Harry Ellis and Louis Deacon have signed two-year contract extensions at Leicester.
The pair have ended speculation they would move from Welford Road at the end of the season by committing themselves to the Tigers until 2008.
Scrum-half Ellis, 23, said: It is great news, I always wanted to stay with the Tigers.
I am a local lad and have always played my rugby here, so there was never any question of me wanting to go anywhere else.
We have a strong side that is capable of challenging for the top honours and whilst that is the case, I see no reason to play anywhere else.
Fellow Leicester-born lock forward Deacon admitted his relief after protracted negotiations were concluded.
The 25-year-old told www.stellargroup.co.uk: I'm really pleased to have sorted this all out.
Discussions took a bit longer than I expected but it was important to make sure everything was okay and that all parties were happy.
I am completely focused on playing well for the Tigers and if that helps me make a breakthrough at international level, so much the better.
Having had a taste of playing for England I am desperate to stay involved, but that will only happen if I am playing well for Leicester.
