Wales have suffered a double setback in their bid to finish the autumn series with a win against Australia at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
The RBS 6 Nations grand slam champions will again be without wing Kevin Morgan and flanker Dafydd Jones, while there is also a huge question mark over the fitness of giant lock Luke Charteris, who was a late withdrawal from the team beaten 33-16 on Saturday by South Africa with a calf problem.
There had been hopes in the Welsh camp that Morgan might recover in time from the ankle injury which forced him off during the 11-10 win over Fiji - the only Welsh success in three autumn outings so far.
However, the ankle is bad enough for the 28-year-old to be ruled out from the start of the week, as is Jones, also hurt against the Fijians.
That means Dafydd James, who was brought back out of the international wilderness against South Africa, will almost certainly continue on the right wing.
Any hopes coach Mike Ruddock had of adding 6ft 9ins Charteris to his troublesome line-out seem dashed.
The lock is rated doubtful for Saturday with Wales set to continue with the second-row pairing of Ian Gough and Robert Sidoli.
Wales physio Mark Davies confirmed Morgan and Jones would be out this weekend.
Kevin will not be available this weekend and we now know he will need a couple of weeks for his ankle to fully recover, said Davies.
Dafydd will be out of contention and has been told to rest for another three to four weeks.
Luke is nursing a calf injury and currently looks doubtful, but we will continue to monitor his situation closely.
The only casualty from last Saturday was Gareth Thomas, who picked up an eye injury.
Weve done well considering the physicality of the encounter which was there for all to see at the weekend and can announce a clean bill of health from the match-day squad, said Davies.
There are a few bumps and bruises, but its a big plus for us, considering the current injury list, to be able to say everyone who played will be available for selection again this week.
The only injury of note was to Gareth Thomas, who was able to return to the field against South Africa after doctors treated a laceration to his lower eye-lid. He is healing nicely and will be available to play.
