Leicester lock Louis Deacon has been called into the England squad as Simon Shaw and Tom Palmer continue to battle injuries.
Deacon is uncapped but was a member of the England squad that won the Churchill Cup last summer and is rated as lock of huge potential.
He has captained Leicester this season in the absence of Martin Corry and was called into the England squad ahead of more experienced rivals Steve Borthwick and Tigers colleague Ben Kay.
Palmer, the Leeds lock, suffered an abdominal muscle strain in training and Wasps second row Shaw is struggling with a back injury.
England open their autumn international programme against Australia on November 12 before taking on New Zealand and Samoa.
