Padova prop Michele Rizzo is confident he can work his way permanently into Pierre Berbizier's Italy side.
Rizzo played against Argentina and Australia this summer and believes he can cement his place in the starting XV ahead of the November Tests and then the RBS 6 Nations campaign.
Rizzo also revealed rugby has always been his first love.
He said: I started playing rugby at nine years old with Padova but also in my youth I played sports like canoeing and football as well.
I was dreaming of getting a call-up and last June that is what happened. Who can ask for more?
I hope to make my way into the team that will play in the Six Nations.
I know I am up against competition of the calibre of Andrea Lo Cicero but I will work harder than ever to be in Berbiziers plans.
