Wales international Dafydd Jones is set to make his comeback on Saturday after six months of injury misery.
The Llanelli Scarlets flanker has been sidelined since Wales RBS 6 Nations victory over England in Cardiff in February.
A pelvic problem ruled the 26-year-old out of Wales remaining games as they raced to the RBS 6 Nations title and collected a Grand Slam.
Dafydd has undergone a summer of intensive treatment, and he is now really eager to get back out on to the pitch, said Scarlets coach Nigel Davies, ahead of the friendly against an Army XV at Chepstow.
Jones will be joined in the Llanelli line-up by summer signings Mike Hercus, Clive Stuart-Smith, Regan King, Hottie Louw and Alix Popham.
