Italy coach Pierre Berbizier is in positive mood ahead of autumn Tests against Tonga, Argentina and Fiji.
Berbizier, who took over from New Zealander John Kirwan following a disappointing RBS 6 Nations campaign which saw the Azzurri pick up the wooden spoon, invited a 45-man squad to attend training in Treviso and has been delighted with their response.
''It has been a pleasure to see the players again who toured Argentina and Australia,'' the Frenchman told www.federugby.it.
''And it has been equally good to get to know the new players called up into the 45-man group ahead of the new international season.
''I have seen from all of them an enthusiasm and joy to play that will be vital for the big games ahead.''
