Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has included fly-half Ramiro Pez in his team to face Argentina in the second Test in Cordoba on Friday.
Pez has been called up to partner Paul Griffen at half-back for his first appearance in almost two years.
The new Italian coach has also included Antonio Mannato on the wing in place of the injured Ludovico Nitoglia, while Mauro Bergamasco returns to the back-row in place of Josh Sole. Santiago Dellape will partner Marco Bortolami in the second row.
The Azzurri will be looking to level the series after losing the first Test 35-21.
