Scotland full-back Chris Paterson has warned that victory over the Barbarians should not necessarily be seen as proof of a change in the national team's fortunes.
The resounding 38-7 victory over the Baa-Baas at Pittodrie was Scotlands first against the star-studded international select XV.
And while last weeks win has injected confidence into interim head coach Frank Haddens squad before Sundays Test match against Romania in Bucharest, Paterson has sounded his note of caution.
The Edinburgh Rugby player claims there is still plenty of room for improvement, even in
the very short term.
He said: Everybody is excited about these two games and it came through in the performance the other night against the Barbarians.
I think everybody enjoyed the game but we realised that there was a lot that didn't go right.
We are working on those things at the moment because we need a far more organised performance against Romania.
Its great that we won and the victory is always welcome but there's a desire to get better and that's what we have to do.
I played against them (Romania) two or three years ago at Murrayfield in an autumn international.
They are similar to France in terms of their power. They are big and they will drive the mauls.
They'll also kick a lot and it will be a hugely physical game for us.
We are aware that people will expect us to beat them and we have to agree with that and say that we should be beating Romania.
We are going out there expecting nothing else but to win, but we're also expecting a very hard game.
