Mike Tindall will miss England's Churchill Cup campaign after undergoing surgery on his shoulder.
England coach Joe Lydon has been forced to make a raft of injury-enforced changes for both the international against the Barbarians on May 28 and next month's trip to Canada.
Tindall's place goes to Wasps centre Ayoola Erinle, while Leicester's Sam Vesty joins the squad with Olly Barkley and Chris Bell struggling with shoulder problems.
Bell and Barkley, both centres, will miss the Barbarians game but remain available for the Churchill Cup.
But Gloucester prop Phil Vickery will miss the tour after failing to recover from a fractured right arm and Wasps hooker Phil Greening has dropped out to rest an ongoing injury in his left foot.
Northampton prop Robbie Morris and Bath's Lee Mears have come into the squad in their place, along with Sale flanker Magnus Lund as a replacement for Andy Hazell.
The Gloucester open-side was withdrawn from the squad last week on medical advice after he suffered symptoms of concussion playing for Gloucester against Saracens on April 30.
