Ireland flanker Simon Easterby is aiming to end the season with some silverware by leading Llanelli Scarlets to Celtic Cup glory at Lansdowne Road this weekend.
It has been a testing first campaign as Scarlets skipper for the 29-year-old, but he is hoping to finish on a high by overcoming Munster on Saturday.
''I have enjoyed the experience,'' Easterby told the Western Mail.
''Obviously it's a lot better when you are winning, and we haven't won that much this year. We have had a disappointing season by our own standards.
''But we've put ourselves in a position now where we can win some silverware and I think a month ago we would have taken this with both hands.
''We're delighted to be in this position and I am delighted to be leading the Scarlets out at Lansdowne Road.
''From my own point of view, I've got to concentrate on leading the team well and getting on with my job.''
