Scotland caretaker coach Frank Hadden has drafted Paul Dearlove and Ben MacDougall into his squad for training this week ahead of matches against the Barbarians and Romania.
The squad congregate for their three-day gathering at Murrayfield on Tuesday in preparation for the international double-header - the first games since Matt Williams was sacked.
Hadden was forced to make changes after Jason White of Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors Ben Hinshelwood withdrew through injury.
White sustained a broken thumb in his clubs defeat by Wasps in the Premiership play-off semi-final at the weekend and is expected to be sidelined for between four and six weeks after undergoing surgery.
Hinshelwood is struggling with a back problem.
Back-row forward Dearlove was born in Paris but qualifies to play for Scotland through a Glaswegian grandmother.
He made a try-scoring debut against New South Wales Country after being called up as injury cover on Scotlands summer tour to Australia last year.
Centre MacDougall joined Edinburgh Rugby from Melbourne Storm last year and qualifies for Scotland through a grandfather from Glasgow.
Hadden said: Its unfortunate to lose players through injury but at the end of an arduous season theres always the chance that will happen.
Im sure, however, that both Paul Dearlove and Ben MacDougall will be looking forward (to Tuesday) with as much enthusiasm as all the other players and management.
Scotland face the Barbarians at Pittodrie on May 24 before travelling to Bucharest to face Romania on June 5.
