Neath-Swansea Ospreys have announced the signing of former Wales and Llanelli Scarlets centre Leigh Davies.
Davies, who has won 21 caps, returned this week from a five-month holiday in the southern hemisphere after taking time out of professional rugby.
And Celtic League champions the Ospreys have now swooped for Davies on a two-year contract, despite reported interest from Llanelli.
It is important we have strength in depth if we are to build on the success of this season, said Ospreys manager Derwyn Jones.
Leigh has had some time away from the game, and he has returned mentally and physically refreshed. While he has been away, he has been monitored and working to a conditioning programme we agreed with him before he left.
We look forward to him joining us for pre-season training, as Leigh is in better shape than he has been for many years. He will bring quality and experience to our young squad.
