England boss Andy Robinson is happy to utilise the best talent on offer in rugby league as he continues rebuilding for the next World Cup.
Great Britain captain Andy Farrell has followed in the footsteps of Wigan team-mates Jason Robinson and Henry Paul by switching codes after being successfully courted by the Rugby Football Union.
The RFU have funded the signing in conjunction with Saracens, Farrells new club, in the hope that the supremely gifted 29-year-old will help England defend the World Cup in 2007.
Robinson said: Our goal is to make the best players available for England.
You cant afford to turn down opportunities like this. From my very first meeting with Andy I have been impressed with him and his attitude. This is a win-win situation for all concerned.
Robinson first came across Farrell as part of the Bath side which faced Wigan during two cross code challenge matches in 1996. The rivals swapped shirts after the second game.
