The Scots had to play a fast, frenetic game to stand any chance, while England will have wanted to cut loose and score a few tries after a disappointing campaign.

I think England can take a few positives from the game. For the first time in the championship they played with more shape and were more incisive in their decision-making.

However, Ive read a few comments from Andy Robinson about England being good enough to take on the worlds best teams, which I think is a bit flattering.

I know he will always support the team but the top sides in the world will not be shaking in their boots after watching Englands performances during this championship.

There are also one or two question marks, like why was Mathew Tait discarded after the first game against Wales?

And England still have a number of injury problems with the likes of Jonny Wilkinson, Mike Tindall and Will Greenwood. I was gutted when Iain Balshaw was forced off following his superb display against Italy.

However, Jamie Noon has played well and he scored a superb hat-trick against the Scots. It was a great way to end the championship prior to a Lions tour, which could include a big contingent of England players.

I would also like congratulate Wales on achieving the Grand Slam.

I thought Ireland would have been the team to beat because of their experience - but they just didnt turn up against France.

Wales have played with confidence throughout the tournament and they are worthy winners of the RBS 6 Nations Championship.
