Gavin Henson has taken stock of Wales' stunning Grand Slam success, and declared: "I should imagine we will be superstars and legends now."
The perma-tanned centre, with his silver boots and spiky hair, already enjoyed cult status in a nation crying out for new rugby heroes.
But Wales, at last, proudly boasts a team good enough to stand comparison with the 1970s golden era when players like Gareth Edwards, Phil Bennett, JPR Williams and Gerald Davies reigned supreme.
And Henson believes it is just the start for a squad whose bold commitment to no-holds-barred attacking rugby - otherwise known as coach Mike Ruddocks licence to thrill - has reaped rich rewards.
It is definitely the beginning - its a young enough squad, isnt it? said Henson.
I think we deserve this Six Nations title because, out of all the teams, I believe we played the best rugby.
Most teams concentrate on defence, but weve concentrated on attack, and it has paid off for us.
It will be difficult next season because we will be defending the Grand Slam and teams will be out to beat us.
But winning this tournament is going to give us massive belief. I should imagine we are superstars and legends now, so it is going to be great.
It was a great day and a great performance from everyone. We were never going to lose that game - it was meant for us, I think, added Henson.
I just knew it was going to be our day. We needed Gethins (Jenkins) try to probably settle us a bit, but we were away then.
We thought Ireland might have come and slowed the game down, which maybe they tried to do, and we were conscious of trying to play an open, fast game.
Ive always thought about just playing for Wales, Ive never really thought about winning anything.
To win a Grand Slam at my age is just brilliant, and hopefully, there are better things to come. It is just amazing. My first Six Nations - and a Grand Slam.
We just needed a big win after going close against South Africa and New Zealand during the autumn Tests, and the England game (the opening match of the RBS 6 Nations) was massive for us.
We didnt play well that day, but we got the win we needed and people have seen the team grow from there.
