France centre Benoit Baby has been handed a four-week ban for headbutting Ireland's Brian O'Driscoll in the RBS 6 Nations fixture between the teams in Dublin last Saturday.
The 21-year-old Baby made a try-scoring debut for the French in the 26-19 win at Lansdowne Road but the ban will rule him out of the final match with Italy in Rome.
He is sidelined from rugby until April 14 but the ban could, under International Rugby Board rules, have been up to a year.
Baby will also miss his club side Toulouse's European Cup quarter-final with Northampton on April 1.
Perpignan's David Marty has been called up as a replacement for Baby.
Damien Traille of Biarritz has been added to the French bench while there has also been a change made in the forwards.
Hooker William Servat, like Baby a Toulouse player, returns to the bench in the place of Dimitri Szarzewski after missing the Ireland match.
