Scotland centre Andy Craig admits there needs to be a massive improvement in the RBS 6 Nations finale against England on Saturday.
Matt Williams team have endured another disappointing campaign with only the 18-10 win over Italy separating them from a second successive whitewash.
But the 46-22 loss to Grand Slam-chasing Wales at Murrayfield on Sunday was a further poor result especially with the Scots trailing 38-3 at half-time.
However, Craig applauded the Welsh for their display in Edinburgh.
He said: It was just individual errors in the first half.
We have watched the video and every one of those six tries could have been stopped - it's just missed one-on-ones.
You have to hand it to the Welsh, I thought their support play was the best I have seen in the championship.
Each time they got through they had about three, four players around the ball.
We have to put our hands up and say it was unacceptable, it was pretty rubbish.
