Scott Johnson has dismissed Wales' reduced preparation time as being a possible negative factor going into the RBS 6 Nations title showdown with Ireland next weekend.
Wales, chasing their first Grand Slam since 1978, are at a potential disadvantage, given that Ireland's penultimate RBS 6 Nations game against France finished almost 24 hours before Wales took the field in Edinburgh to tackle Scotland.
But Wales skills coach Johnson is comfortable with the week ahead, although an emphasis will be put on light preparations rather than heavy-duty training.
We can't use it (the six-day turnaround) as an excuse, said Johnson.
We knew about it before the campaign started, when we sat down as a management group and discussed it. You play the cards you are dealt.
We've given ourselves every chance to be right and our job is to make sure we are ready to rock and roll.
