The rejuvenated Welsh, who have won their first three matches against England, Italy and France and are hot favourites to beat Scotland, would then need a win against the Irish six days later to give them their first clean sweep since 1978.

However, Glasgow hooker Bulloch claims Matt Williams' men are only concerned with building on their long-awaited victory against Italy.

He said: Wales upset England's grand slam chances in 1999, we did it in 2000 and Ireland did it in 2001.

But times have changed since then and we want to do it for ourselves.

We went out against Italy to play for each other and for a lot of guys it was their first Six Nations win.

So there will be no more satisfaction if we do get a win, it is about getting our campaign and our season back on track.''

A large Welsh support will travel to Edinburgh with expectations of a comfortable victory but Bulloch insists that could work in favour of the Scots.

He said: It is going to be a great atmosphere and there will be a huge anticipation factor among the Welsh who are travelling up here.

And having seen their results and having seen our results they are going to expect a lot from their team early on and that can probably work to our advantage.

Meanwhile, Scotland team doctor James Robson is confident Hugo Southwell and Gavin Kerr will be available for Sunday's game.

Back-row forward Jason White is also recovering well from the knee injury which ruled him out of the 18-10 win over Italy last time out.

Robson said: Centre Hugo Southwell continues to recover well from the dead leg he sustained against Italy.

Prop Gavin Kerr also continues to make good progress from the leg injury he sustained against Italy and will be subject to further assessment.
