Week Six
6 March 2005, 7:39 pm
This has been a bit of a topsy-turvy week for those involved in the England set-up.
Theyve lost a world class player in Jason Robinson and gained a new captain in Martin Corry.

Martin Corry is a well-respected member of the England side now and hes a hard man who will lead by example.

One of Martins great strengths is that he has never given anything less than 100 per cent in anything hes done, and thats the reason hes so highly respected by players and coaches alike. Im not surprised by his appointment at all.

Jason Robinson has had the feeling all season that opposition teams have been making sure that England dont get the best out of him.

I dont think its fair to say that Robbo is off form, because in every game that he has played in this years RBS 6 Nations hes done something brilliant that nobody else in the world would be capable of doing.

If I was a player, though, I wouldnt be too worried about losing Jason because it wasnt that long ago that Josh Lewsey was playing full-back for England, and he is a world class performer in that position.

England will be expecting to win their next two games and win them well. While everybody will be looking at how many points they score, I think the key thing for the England players is just to get the wins and salvage some pride and respect from the rugby world.

The next two games will give them a chance to put the record straight.
