Jacobsen endures disappointing return

Scotland international Allan Jacobsen endured a torrid return to action after five weeks on the sidelines.

The Edinburgh Gunners prop has been sidelined for the RBS 6 Nations with a shoulder injury.

But the 26-year-old could not prevent his team falling to a 13-16 home defeat by Connacht in the Celtic League on Friday night.

However, Edinburgh coach Frank Hadden admitted Simon Webster and Mike Blair missed out on a potential boost ahead of next weeks game against Wales.

The pair contrived to miss an early try which would have given their professional team the win.

Hadden said: ''When Simon and Mike went through, youd have expected them to finish but they got in each others way.
