James Simpson-Daniel insists the possibility of an England recall will be put to the back of his mind while Gloucester try to claim a place in the Powergen Cup final.
The winger, 22, was today named in Andy Robinsons 30-man training squad for the RBS 6 Nations clash against Italy on March 12.
The Cherry and Whites flyer, who has endured an injury-disrupted season, will be pushing for a place on the wing after captain Jason Robinson was forced to pull out of the squad with a thumb injury.
But for now, he is fully focused on ensuring Gloucester defeat bitter rivals Bath in their cup semi-final on Sunday.
Its great news, but Im not getting carried away, said Simpson-Daniel, of his selection in the England squad.
I wont even be thinking about it until after the final whistle on Sunday.
The semi-final is top of the agenda at the moment, and well move on to England next week, as its something every player works towards.
Simpson-Daniel revealed there was a tremendous atmosphere in the Gloucester camp ahead of the derby clash with Bath.
Theres a good buzz about Kingsholm this week, he added on the clubs official website, www.gloucesterrugbyclub.com.
Theres no doubt where the focus is at the moment, and thats on ensuring were preparing 100% for the game with Bath.
