The Rugby Football Union have announced their disciplinary officer Jeff Blackett will investigate comments made by England and RFU officials after Sunday's 19-13 RBS 6 Nations defeat to Ireland.
England head coach Andy Robinson was incensed referee Jonathan Kaplan disallowed a Mark Cueto score for offside, and then decided not to consult video referee, Welshman Hugh Watkins, when England mauled their way over Ireland's line and Josh Lewsey claimed a touchdown.
International Rugby Board chiefs and RBS 6 Nations officials have agreed an investigation - and possible action - should be the RFU's responsibility.
Although the RFU have confirmed no complaint will be filed from Twickenham to the IRB over Kaplan, any comments and concerns will follow official IRB channels.
If Blackett decides Robinson should face a disrepute charge, and the coach is found guilty, then a fine and touchline ban could follow.
The RFU said in a statement: The RFU disciplinary officer, further to discussions involving Six Nations and IRB officials, has reached agreement that any investigation and subsequent action should be the responsibility of the RFU.
