Wales man of the match Stephen Jones was trying to keep his feet on the ground after a superb 24-18 victory over France in Paris made it three successive RBS 6 Nations wins.
The visitors trailed 15-6 at half-time but turned it around after the break and held on at the end in the face of some determined French pressure to go top of the Six Nations table.
Martyn Williams inspired the fightback with two tries within five minutes of the re-start, and fly-half Jones then secured the win with a second penalty and drop-goal.
"Two years ago in the Six Nations, Wales did not win a single game - and we have worked hard since then and are a very happy camp at the moment," Jones told BBC1.
"It is a very special camp to be involved in.
"We have got hard matches to come against good opposition [Scotland and Ireland] and we are very happy with the start we have had."
