Wales captain Gareth Thomas has called on his players to woo the French public with Welsh flair ahead of the RBS 6 Nations clash at the Stade de France on Saturday.
The Toulouse star knows the rugby-loving French are unhappy with their country's current conservative style of play under coach Bernard Laporte.
And he believes if Wales can produce a big first 20 minutes at the weekend they can win over the home crowd and turn them against the French.
Something has to give in Paris, with both teams having gone unbeaten in their opening two matches, but Wales have been far more convincing than the stuttering French so far.
You need a big start in any game but if we do get it together in the first 20 we could turn the crowd against the French, said Thomas.
That would be a huge boost for us because at the moment there is a huge amount of pressure on Laporte for his tactical approach.
The crowd can easily turn against that. In the Scotland match you could see the French crowd turn against their team.
No-one in France was happy with the performance against England even though they went to Twickenham and beat the world champions.
It was a huge win for the team but they didn't please the French public because they didn't play the right way.
A lot of people I have spoken to in Toulouse want Wales to win because they don't agree with the way the French are playing, and they want to see rugby and tries being scored.
They are not getting that off their own team and they want to see a team scoring tries.
