Wales have concerns over the fitness of wing Hal Luscombe as they go in search of a third successive 2005 RBS 6 Nations Championship win over France in Paris on Saturday.
The Newport Gwent Dragons three-quarter trained for the first time on Sunday after a week's rest for a hamstring injury but assistant coach Scott Johnson says Luscombe is not yet in the clear.
Johnson also revealed that Neath-Swansea Ospreys centre Sonny Parker is to be referred for a second opinion on a neck nerve problem that has failed to clear up, despite more than a month of inactivity for the player.
Johnson said: We are getting a second opinion on Sonny because his injury is taking longer than we thought to clear up.
Hal trained on Sunday but you can never tell with a hamstring.
He needs to work out this week and have a run and we have to make sure that what we do is the best for Hal and the squad.
We don't want him pulling the hamstring again and we have to make sure that Hal can go out there and play to his best so we have to monitor him this week after he's had a week off.
Wales coach Mike Ruddock will name his side on Tuesday and, if Luscombe's injury flares up again he will be replaced by fellow Dragon Kevin Morgan.
