Italy forward Sergio Parisse has been cleared of any wrong-doing following an incident involving Wales fly-half Stephen Jones during Saturday's RBS 6 Nations match in Rome.
Parisse was cited by the independent match commissioner under law 10.4, which states a player must not stamp or trample, following the game, which Italy lost 38-8.
Parisse faced a disciplinary committee in London on Wednesday where it was decided to take no action against the player.
The ruling means Parisse will now be available for Italys next RBS 6 Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield on February 26.
Italy coach John Kirwan, who attended the meeting with Parisse, said: I'm very happy. We arrived in London with big hopes and we are going back to Italy with the result we wanted.
Sergio is an important player and we are happy he can play against Scotland next week.
