Thomas and his team-mates played some magnificent rugby in dispatching Italy 38-8 at the Stadio Flaminio on Saturday, and the full-back insists they will continue to play in the same vein for the rest of the RBS 6 Nations.

''Although we weren't perfect, we beat Italy with a bit of style and it's great to play that way,'' Thomas told BBC Sport.

''That's the type of rugby we want to play, because that's the style we're best at playing.

''It is dangerous, it can be high risk because at times it doesn't come off, but if things do go wrong we've got the players to get back to where we want to. ''

Although men like Gavin Henson and Shane Williams have stolen many of the headlines after Wales' opening two RBS 6 Nations games, Thomas is keen that the contribution of the rest of the team is not forgotten.

''Maybe individuals will take the credit, but all the boys want the team to take the credit,'' he said.

''You see our front five working, you see our back-row working and it makes things easier for the backs.''
