Bulloch laments losing habit
15 February 2005, 2:18 pm
Scotland skipper Gordon Bulloch has admitted his side played some "stupid rugby" against Ireland at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Bulloch was frustrated by a series of crucial errors which saw Scotland lose the early initiative to an increasingly confident Ireland side.

Bulloch feels Scotland's lack of winning experience is costing them dear in the RBS 6 Nations at the moment.

Our principal downfall against Ireland was our inexperience when it comes to holding onto a lead, he told BBC Sport.

We played some good rugby at the start and got a good lead, but we then played some hugely inexperienced and stupid rugby to hand them the initiative.

It was a position we hadn't really been in very often, with points on the board early on, but then we gave away a penalty from a line-out at the halfway line and all of a sudden we found ourselves 10-8 down.
