Against Wales, I think we did not play anything like as well as we did in our previous game.
We should have played much better but we could not for some reason. We were playing a very good side and a very quick and fast back division which made it very difficult for us.
However, I think our game plan was all wrong. We kicked the ball too much and gave it away unnecessarily and let them play.
We did not win as many balls as we did the previous week and we did not use it properly when we did win it. Of course, the two injuries to Mauro Bergamasco and Roland de Marigny that didn't help us and it's bad news for us because they probably won't play against Scotland.
We need to get back to the same level we showed against Ireland and especially we need to win the ball much more often. We must keep working on that and try to score more points. Mauro has been hurt quite badly and that is very disappointing for us because he is a key player.
The game with Scotland is very important for us. I think Scotland played very well against the French but I think Scotland and Italy are about at the same level.
For that reason I think it will be a very balanced game and anyone can win. We should not look at the performances so far because every game is a different story.
It's a very big game for us and it's essential for us to win it. Maybe John Kirwan needs to make a few changes.
