England slumped to an 18-17 defeat to France at Twickenham, following hard on the heels of their defeat to Wales in Cardiff.

But the England skipper is adamant that there is no need to panic.

At this level, it is about winning, he said.

We needed a good start, and the first half went in our favour. We knew at half-time that France would come out and throw everything at us, and unfortunately we gave away the penalties and they clawed their way back.

It is very disappointing, but we have lost our last three games by two points, two points and one point. It would be panic time if we were losing by 12 or 14 points.

Robinson also leapt to the defence of Hodgson, who missed three vital penalties.

I know people will go on about Charlie and Olly (Barkley) and give them a hard time, Robinson added.

But I work with these guys day in, day out and they land most of those kicks in training. I have got every faith in Charlie and Olly.
