Italy's defensive co-ordinator Grant Doorey feels the Azzurri will have to cut out the sloppy errors made against Ireland if they are to emerge triumphant against a resurgent Wales.
The Azzurri put up a brave fight before going down 28-17 to Eddie OSullivans men at the Stadio Flaminio.
''I'm happy with my players, said Doorey. ''But we committed a few mistakes and at this level, against the best teams, you pay a high price for your mistakes.
''Against the Welsh on Saturday, we can't make these mistakes again.
Tim Lane, the Azzurri's backs coach, added: ''I was about 80% happy with our game in the three-quarters. We did some good things but also made some mistakes.
''We played at a high level and now we have to look forward to the Wales game.
The fans were unbelievable and pushed us to score a fantastic try through Leandro Castrogiovanni.
''I think the Italian rugby fans are in love with this team.
