Jacobsen blow for Scotland
1 February 2005, 4:36 pm
Scotland have been dealt another injury blow ahead of their RBS 6 Nations opener against France on Saturday.
Edinburgh prop Allan Jacobsen has been forced to withdraw from the squad with a shoulder injury he picked up in the Celtic League game against Cardiff on Friday.

Jacobsen has damaged the joint in his right shoulder and is expected to be out of action for up to six weeks.

Number eight Ross Beattie has also left the squad after failing to recover from a collision whilst playing for Northampton against Sale Sharks on Saturday.

Scotland team doctor James Robson said: ''Ross was slow to recover from the weekend so it was felt that he shouldn't be considered for selection for the France game on Saturday.''
