Scotland international Allister Hogg has boosted coach Matt Williams ahead of the RBS 6 Nations opener against France on Saturday.
The Edinburgh Gunners player was rated doubtful for the game in Paris due to a knee injury.
But, after returning to full training with the Scottish squad on Monday, Hogg has impressed national team doctor James Robson, who said: ''He is doing well and will be monitored further to see if he has any reaction to the training on Tuesday.
''However, we are delighted with his progress.''
Glasgow Warriors scrum-half Graeme Beveridge missed training with a slight cold, while Northampton number eight, Ross Beattie, rested after the game against Sale Sharks on Saturday.
